iSCSI uses TCP/IP infrastructure to transmit data packets over the network to storage devices. Unlike Fiber Channel which uses different physical devices and FC protocol for transmitting block level data.
Fibre Channel is a Optical Wire cable and iSCSI is a media technology that use with UTP as well as Fibre channel. iSCSI doesnt require a HBA adapters in the host.
data flow in FC will be optical protocol is FCIP and iSCSI will be electrical and protocol is iSCSI.
